Information we collect
When you submit an item, wanted request, enquiry or introduction request, we collect your name, business name, email, suburb, item or request details, and your acceptance of our terms and privacy notice. We also receive correspondence and any photos you later send us by email. We do not need payment card details or identity documents for this service.
Why we use it
To respond to enquiries, review and manage submissions, arrange introductions with permission, handle reports and keep the service working. We will not add enquiry senders to marketing lists without a separate choice.
What other visitors see
Approved listing details, business name, suburb and item photos may be public. Personal email addresses and private collection addresses should not appear in public listings. Contact details would only be shared for an introduction with permission, or where otherwise required by law.
Hosting and service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website and stores form submissions in its D1 database. Authorised Storeroo operators access the private review queue through the Cloudflare account. Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the service. We use short-lived hashed address keys to limit repeated submissions; we do not save raw IP addresses in the submissions database. Email correspondence is handled through Smark Design’s email service. These providers may process information outside Australia; we do not promise Australian-only storage.
Cookies and analytics
The current site does not implement advertising trackers or a marketing analytics service. Hosting and security services may process technical data. Any additional analytics or cookie use must be reflected here before it is introduced.
Storage and retention
Submissions are not publicly accessible. Only approved listing information is copied into the public exchange. We keep personal information while it is needed to manage your enquiry, listing, introduction or a related dispute, or to meet a legal requirement. We periodically review stored information and delete or de-identify information no longer needed. Short-lived abuse-control keys expire after two hours and are cleared on a subsequent submission attempt. Backups may retain deleted records for the provider’s recovery period.
Your choices and complaints
Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw permission for an introduction, or raise a privacy concern. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. If a legal obligation requires retention, we will explain that. You can also consult the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about privacy rights and complaints.

We will update this policy and its date when the service or its information handling changes.
