Storeroo
Our story

A useful thing deserves another chapter.

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

Growing up, my dad would sometimes come home with a random object he had found while walking. Someone else had thrown it away, but he could see something interesting or useful for our household.

That idea stayed with me. After years living around Crows Nest and St Leonards, I noticed a similar opportunity among local businesses: storerooms full of useful things sitting idle, while another business nearby might need exactly those things.

The next owner could be around the corner.

A few spare café chairs. Packaging left over after a rebrand. A piece of equipment replaced during a refit. These things still have a purpose—and someone nearby may be looking for them.

Built around local businesses.

Storeroo brings buying, selling, giving away and asking into one local exchange. The aim is simple: help businesses free up space, find useful things and make connections across the North Shore and Lower North Shore.

Starting where we know the streets.

Our first community stretches from Mosman, North Sydney and Lane Cove through Chatswood and Ku-ring-gai to Hornsby. We want to build it with the businesses that call these places home.
